Combining two apartments with sea views

Le projet consistait à réunir deux appartements situés au même niveau d’un immeuble collectif en front de mer à Saint-Nazaire, bénéficiant d’une très belle vue sur l’estuaire de la Loire.
Le premier appartement déjà habité a été réhabilité il y a environ 10 ans. Suite à une opportunité d’achat, il est apparu envisageable de réunir les deux espaces d’habitation en créant un frangement dans la structure de l’immeuble. L’intervention a été validée par l’assemblée générale de copropriété et un bureau d’études structure.
Le programme défini avec les clients nous a orienté vers la création d’un bureau-bibliothèque ouvert sur la pièce de vie existante. Ce nouvel appartement permet également d’accueillir un grand espace avec vidéoprojecteur et une installation hi-fi dont l‘agencement serait propice à la méditation.
Nous avons défini ensemble un design épuré et fonctionnel aux accents japonais. Au sol, le choix d’un parquet très graphique (Listone Giordano Fabrique) dans l’esprit des tatamis a trouvé toute sa justification. Ce parti pris devait également intégrer la mise en situation d’une œuvre d’art, en écho au paysage de l’estuaire.
Avec deux grandes portes à galandage, ce nouvel espace donne accès à une chambre et un dressing avec salle d’eau et toilettes.
Le dressing doté d’un meuble îlot tout comme la porte sur pivot ont été commandés auprès de la marque Rimadesio. L’aménagement de la salle d’eau a été réalisé avec des signatures au design contemporain : meuble vasque Cielo Narciso Mini, carrelage Mutina Kosei, robinetterie Fantini Nostromo noir mat. Un béton ciré AdLucem au rendu proche d’un sol en résine a été utilisé pour le sol.
Pour ne pas abaisser les plafonds, nous avons sélectionné des luminaires PlusMinus de la marque Vibia, fixés directement au plancher béton supérieur de l’immeuble. Ce concept de luminaire a permis de décliner différents designs et configurations suivant l’usage et la décoration des différentes pièces.
The project consisted of merging two apartments located on the same floor of a seaside residential building in Saint-Nazaire, benefiting from a beautiful view over the Loire estuary.
The first apartment, already occupied, had been renovated حوالي 10 years ago. Following an opportunity to purchase, it became possible to combine the two living spaces by creating an opening in the building’s structure. The intervention was approved by the co-ownership general assembly and a structural engineering office.
The program defined with the clients led to the creation of an open office-library connected to the existing living space. This new apartment also accommodates a large area with a video projector and a hi-fi system, designed to create an environment conducive to meditation.
Together, we defined a clean and functional design with Japanese influences. On the floor, a highly graphic parquet (Listone Giordano Fabrique), reminiscent of tatami mats, was selected. This choice also supports the display of an artwork, echoing the estuary landscape.
With two large pocket sliding doors, this new space provides access to a bedroom and a dressing room with a shower room and toilets.
The dressing room, featuring a central island unit as well as a pivot door, was supplied by Rimadesio. The shower room was fitted with contemporary design elements: vanity unit Cielo Narciso Mini, tiles Mutina Kosei, and matte black Fantini Nostromo fittings. A polished concrete floor by AdLucem, with a resin-like finish, was used for the flooring.
To avoid lowering the ceilings, PlusMinus luminaires by Vibia were selected, fixed directly to the upper concrete slab of the building. This lighting concept made it possible to create various designs and configurations depending on the use and decoration of each space.
