Interior design of a house in Nantes

Cette maison des années 90 située à l’ouest de Nantes proposait une belle superficie sur 3 niveaux, mais nécessitait une rénovation complète de la pièce de vie qui intégrait une cuisine dans un espace exigu et sombre.
L’architecte d’intérieur a proposé d’élargir une ouverture déjà existante d’un mur porteur et de déplacer la future cuisine aménagée à proximité de la terrasse et du jardin afin de bénéficier d’une belle lumière naturelle et d’une meilleure communication vers l’extérieur.
Il a été proposé aux clients de positionner une table à manger d’une hauteur d’environ 90 cm dans le prolongement d'un îlot central. Cette nouvelle implantation a permis de créer un espace de travail entre le salon et la nouvelle cuisine.
La cuisine aménagée a été réalisée en collaboration avec le concepteur et fabricant Veneta Cucine de Nantes. Les façades de l’îlot central et des meubles bas sont en verre cannelé laqué mat vert olive. Les colonnes sont laquées mat beige clair.
Pour dynamiser l’ensemble de la pièce et apporter des rangements d’appoint, nous avons décidé également de mettre en place des éléments muraux complémentaires en placage chêne comprenant des tablettes et des miroirs.
Le plan de travail de la cuisine est en céramique blanc brillant avec la présence d’un veinage gris clair. La robinetterie de l’évier est en laiton brossé de la marque bretonne Bradano.
Le mur qui accueille une bibliothèque comprenant une structure légère en acier noir ainsi qu’un poêle à bois noir, a été peint avec la teinte vert bronze de la marque Ressource. Ce choix contraste et s’harmonise avec le parquet à lames larges en chêne clair huilé et les deux suspensions Chouchin 3 orange (Foscarini) positionnées au-dessus de la table à manger en bois.
Pour l’appareillage électrique, nous avons sélectionné la collection Hitera en noir mat de la marque Modelec.

This 1990s house located west of Nantes offered a generous surface area over three levels, but required a complete renovation of the living space, which included a kitchen in a cramped and dark area.
The interior architect proposed widening an existing opening in a load-bearing wall and relocating the future fitted kitchen closer to the terrace and garden in order to benefit from beautiful natural light and improved connection with the outdoors.
It was proposed to position a dining table approximately 90 cm high as an extension of a central island. This new layout made it possible to create a workspace between the living room and the new kitchen.
The fitted kitchen was carried out in collaboration with the designer and manufacturer Veneta Cucine in Nantes. The fronts of the central island and the base units are made of fluted glass with a matte olive green lacquer finish. The tall units are finished in matte light beige lacquer.
To energize the space and provide additional storage, complementary wall elements in oak veneer were also installed, including shelves and mirrors.
The kitchen worktop is made of glossy white ceramic with light grey veining. The sink tap is in brushed brass from the Breton brand Bradano.
The wall hosting a bookcase with a lightweight black steel structure and a black wood stove was painted in the bronze green shade by Ressource. This choice contrasts and harmonizes with the wide-plank light oak flooring and the two orange Chouchin 3 pendant lights (Foscarini) positioned above the dining table in wood.
For electrical fittings, the Hitera collection in matte black by Modelec was selected.
